Denis Lynch and All Star 5 fifths in the world cup
A superb performance from Denis Lynch and the All Star 5 stallion saw them finish fifth overall at the Longines World Cup which ended in Gothenburg in Sweden yesterday.
Lynch and the 13-year-old All Star 5 were the only duo that in the three days of competition collected five clear courses in front of over 11,000 spectators at the Scandinavium Arena. A fantastic audience, who during the award ceremony gave him a standing ovation for being the only one not to touch a barrier. Irish coach Robert Spagnae said: “These World Championships have been of a very high standard and for Denis and All Star jumping five clear courses this week has been an exceptional performance. World Cup courses was impressive. To finish in fifth position is a brilliant result for Denis, the owners of the horse and for Ireland! “.. and we add, also for us … thanks Denis for the trust!
