Since 1881 the Gianetti family has handed down from father to son the art of making saddles, an activity that began thanks to great-grandfather Giacomo and grandfather Angelo who produced and repaired harnesses for tow horses, carriages and farm wagons. In 1935, with the advent of the automobile, the turning point came: tow horses fell into disuse and the passion for sport horses began, production began to change and so the saddle became the undisputed protagonist of Gianetti’s business. A long journey that encompasses more than a hundred years of history and tradition to create a unique product, a perfect combination of innovation and craftsmanship, the result of the experience and work of more than three generations. Selleria Gianetti offers the possibility to all riders to have a personalized saddle in full respect of the horse’s anatomy, the front bow is reinforced with a hardened steel plate with two alloy tie rods that make it very resistant. The completely hand-built wooden tree and the use of a particular technical invention of our master saddlers for an even softer and more comfortable saddle, make Gianetti saddles unique pieces of exceptional quality. All Gianetti saddles are made with the highest quality materials, with selected leathers and leathers that have undergone a long vegetable tanning process. All leathers are exclusively “full grain” any veins and color tone variations guarantee uniqueness.
