Description
Artiglio is the result of a balanced combination of medicinal herbs, such as devil’s claw, currant, ash and boswellia, with known analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, and important amino acids, such as lataurin, phenylalanine, glutamine, which they help to alleviate joint pain, favoring the horse’s recovery after intense training.
It also contains components such as glucosamine sulfate, which are essential for the reconstruction of damaged cartilages.
Artiglio is a product that contains medicinal herbs, such as Boswellia, Black Currant, and Ash.
Boswellia: this plant has a good anti-inflammatory and, in particular, anti-rheumatic activity, confirmed by several clinical studies. Its resin contains boswellic acids which have an inhibitory effect on enzymes involved in the inflammatory process, such as lipoxygenase. Its effects are clinically proven and, unlike classic anti-inflammatories (known as NSAIDs) and corticosteroids, it has no known side effects and has no contraindications for interactions with other drugs.
Black currant: the plant is effective in fighting painful joint manifestations thanks to its anti-inflammatory activity. Currant leaves show anti-inflammatory action both in acute and chronic processes: with their use there is a considerable reduction in the number of inflammatory cells, in particular macrophages, which are considered as powerful inflammatory agents for the lytic substances contained in their lysosomes , and normalization of the hematochemical makers of inflammation. This activity is supported in part by flavonoids which oppose the release of proflogogenic substances and which, thanks to the similar vitamin P activity, determine an improvement in the microcirculation and therefore in the local vascularization.
Ash: studies with ash bark have shown its analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity.
Glucosamine Sulphate: Glucosamine is an important component of the mucopolysaccharides of equine cartilage. stimulates the defense and reconstruction mechanisms of the articular cartilages, tendons and joint capsules of the horse.
Taurine: is an amino acid that helps retain calcium and potassium in the muscles involved in contraction, avoiding the onset of muscle cramps.
Phenylalanine: is an amino acid with analgesic and anti-inflammatory action; inhibits the release of enzymes responsible for the decrease of natural analgesics. It is therefore indicated to relieve pain due to osteoarthritis, rheumatic arthritis, joint problems, etc.
Devil’s Claw: this plant contains numerous principles with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and spasmotic action. The anti-inflammatory activity is allowed by the ß-sitosterol which inhibits prostaglandinosynthetase; the analgesic and spasmolytic activity is instead induced by apagoside.
