The goal of each rider is to reach an understanding with the horse by means of legs and hands and to transmit his will to him in order to make him frank, light, forward in the aid of the rider. This goal is achieved with constant exercise in the riding school under the guidance of the instructor who continually corrects the position in the saddle. Using a trained and sensitive horse, with the pressure of the calves, used together or alternating, the reactions are obtained and precisely forward impulse or lateral displacements of the hind train. Movements essential to obtain the correct response of the animal to all the necessary actions in riding. In practice, however, this result is not easy to achieve; it is a skill that is acquired over time.

In fact, it may happen that the beginner rider, during the learning phase, is unable to keep his leg firmly on the side of the horse and that the continuous rubbing of the leg, with or without spurs, causes noticeable hair loss that weakens the skin tissue, resulting in the onset of annoying abrasions. For “hot horses” and therefore closer to pure blood, there is still the problem of skin abrasions due to the greater sensitivity of their skin.

It wraps around the horse’s side directly on the hair at the height of the saddle, it is easily fixed with Velcro inside which, adherent to the skin, a protection of “synthetic lamb” has been applied to make the closure softer. The two light but strong plastic carabiners hook onto the saddle bells at the top, preventing the strap from sliding towards the back. They are adjustable in length to allow the positioning of the band on the exact point that you want to protect more or less distant from the girth.
